Bruce Trail Conservancy

The Niagara Bruce Trail Club is an organization dedicated to the preservation of nature and conservation of the environment, particularly of the Niagara Escarpment. Its primary activity is hiking and the maintenance of the southern-most 81km of the 800 km long Bruce Trail, and the associated sidetrails.

Mission Statement
West Niagara Second Stage Housing & Counselling is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides transitional support, within a feminist framework, to women and children who have experienced abuse.
The project provides women and children with transitional housing that is integrated into local communities and that is temporary, with the objective to obtain safe, affordable, and permanent housing.

United to help Syrians

Help us to sponsor a Syrian refugee family and welcome them to the Grimsby area. We are committed to sponsoring at least one Syrian family and then helping them to feel at home when they arrive in the Grimsby area. Every dollar we raise goes to help the refugees. McNally House Hospice

Since 2008, McNally House Hospice is a residential setting that provides 24 hour specialized palliative care, free of charge, to people living with a terminal illness, as well as those in their life circle.

Serving the Niagara West communities of Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln, McNally House has an approach to palliative care that reflects the hospice philosophy, through our comprehensive and compassionate programs for residents and their families. Such care seeks to maximize the individual’s quality of life; the emphasis is on living rather than dying.

Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch

Since 1975, birdwatchers have been monitoring the annual spring migration of hawks, eagles, falcons, and vultures over the Niagara Peninsula. 

The Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch was organized in March of 1990 to:

Promote the enjoyment of hawkwatching
Educate people about hawks and hawk migration
Conduct systematic counts of hawks migrating over the Niagara Peninsula
Work for the preservation of raptors in Ontario

Niagara West Palliative Care Team (NWPCT)

The Niagara West Palliative Care Team (NWPCT) is a unique community team that has grown out of a partnership between West Lincoln Memorial Hospital and the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Community Care Access Centre (HNHB CCAC). This team has served Niagara West since 1996, seeing patients and families in every setting of care including West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Home, McNally House Hospice, Retirement Homes and Long Term Care Facilities.  The NWPCT is composed of a Palliative Care Physician, a Palliative Nurse Clinician, a Psycho-Spiritual Clinician, a Bereavement

Urban Wildlife Care

A team of professionally trained volunteers under the strict direction and rules of Authorized Wildlife Custodian Cara Contardi, care for approximately 500 animals annually. Hundreds of phone calls from the public are answered each year as well. 

UWC plays an integral role in community education and works in cooperation with Hamilton Animal Control, Lincoln County Humane Society, Ministry of Natural Resources, other non-profit organizations, local animal services, and veterinarians.

Community Care of West Niagara

Community Care of West Niagara is a registered charitable non-profit organization that has been serving the communities of Lincoln and Grimsby since 1967. We are a volunteer driven organization that relies heavily on the community for donations of goods including food and clothing as well as financial donations. The people that we serve come from all walks of life and have experienced financial difficulties due to job loss, illness or other hardships.

Central Public School Breakfast Program

"Central School provides a hands on breakfast program and an in class snack bin program.  The
breakfast club is manned by parent and student volunteers. They serve a
healthy nutritious hot breakfast to our student body Monday to Friday of each
academic week. The snack bin program provides dry good snacks to our
students. The bins are filled as needed by dry goods and are housed in each
classroom for distribution to the students by the teachers. These dry goods
are given to students in need (i.e. forgotten lunch, not enough lunch

Grimsby Public Library

The Grimsby Public Library strives to provide access to a wide variety of materials and services to fulfill our mission statement: Enriching lives * Connecting Community * Inspiring discovery

Our donation will go towards funding Teen Movie Nights and PA day programs at the library this school year. Thanks to the Grimsby Public Library for offering such enriching programs to families in our community.

West Lincoln Memorial Foundation Inc

The donation from the Coffeehouse will go to Project Xray, which the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation Inc has been working hard to reach its target 3.6 million dollars. These funds will go towards purchasing radiology equipment, such a xray, ultrasound and echocardiogram machines. We encourage anyone to join a Dream Team in the Peach Bud Run, coming up on Tuesday June 24th. We also invite people to join us on the patio and in front of the coffeehouse to cheer on the runners in their 5 and 10 km runs. It will be a fun event! Starts at 7:30pm at the coffeehouse.

Red Roof Retreat

Red Roof Retreat is a charity that offers quality respite and recreational opportunities to children and youth with special needs in Niagara. They have summer camps, weekend respite, day programs, Saturday camps, Teen Nights and horse riding, as well as a beautiful hobby farm and hiking trail that is accessible to everyone. Their main site is located in Virgil, and they provide programs in St Catharines and to families all throughout Niagara region, from Fort Erie to Grimsby.
